Alberta IoT is a non-profit association that exists to nurture and support the growth of Alberta’s Internet of Things and emerging technology sectors. Our mission is to position Alberta as the worldwide leader in IoT and emerging technology.
The Alberta IoT Fast-Track Accelerator Program is an 8-week virtual program for Alberta-based scale-up IoT and emerging technology companies that provides mentorship, networking opportunities and resources to accelerate growth.
Alberta IoT previously supported scale-up businesses through the Start-Up Visa (SUV) Program; as of December 31st, 2025, the program is closed to new applications, with existing Alberta IoT applicants continuing through the federal stream.
Focuses on bridging the gap that exists between industry, students, researchers, equipment, hands-on testing, and other forms of talent. The Science Park initiative is intended to be a virtual platform for major innovation and collaboration projects between the public sector, enterprise, SME’s, and academia. Alberta IoT will play the role of Facilitator and be tasked with creating an environment where participants not only feel that their contributions are welcome, but also feel secure in contributing new ideas.
