Special Guest Speaker: Kirk Duffee

We are excited to offer golfers at our upcoming tournament an exclusive information-packed presentation from Managing Director of S8C, Kirk Duffee, on Taking the T2D3 Path to Grow Your Business Beyond $1M in Revenue. Kirk will be sharing a number of insights gleaned throughout his career on challenges faced with regard to employees, customers and governance, and some proven strategies and solutions that founders can deploy to successfully manage second-stage growth.

Kirk Duffee

Kirk graduated from UofA in 2001, obtaining a CA designation in 2004.  Through his career, he developed a lifelong fascination with and passion for small business and organizational dynamics. Kirk’s industry career began in Alberta with Eveready, a rapidly growing Industrial, Energy, & Environmental company that later became Clean Harbors. He spent time at various executive posts helping to build process throughout the internal operations and administration of the company.  Despite various titles over the years, his primary function was integrating the nearly 50 companies that were acquired during his time before eventually serving as President of the International Energy Segment.

In 2016, he retired to his current role with S8C as Managing Director.  At S8C he plays a direct role in the companies S8C supports and facilitates the behind the scenes matching of seasoned executives with network companies.

About S8C

S8C quietly supports a wide variety of companies through the revenue growth phase of $1m-$10m and beyond.  S8C has a minority equity model that silently matches willing and seasoned executives with early growth phase companies.  S8C, through their executive partners, support timely process and internal controls to help minimize operational confusion and setbacks in phases of growth.  This allows companies to concentrate on developing new products and accessing new markets.

Registration is $175 per player and includes 18 holes of golf, cart rental, and dinner.

Not much of a golfer? Don’t worry, this is not a competitive tournament! We’re just here to have some fun while making valuable and long lasting connections. You can pre-purchase Mulligans, and clubs are available for rent if needed. We are, however, keeping score and giving out some great prizes including a $10k award for a hole in one!

We’re currently working with a few unknowns due to Provincial COVID-19 health & safety guidelines, but we can assure you that we’ve got some great plan-B and plan-C ideas to make sure everyone has a great time and stays safe.

We’ll have two drink holes on the course, with course servers and drinks available at the main cabin as well. Shuttle service is available for players to & from a central location in Calgary. We expect all golfers to be responsible, please plan ahead to avoid drinking and driving.
